The Pine River Garden Club was established in 2013 by a group of novice, backyard, and Master gardeners.  We hold a yearly Plant Exchange and oversee the Pine River Library’s Community Garden.

Membership is $10 per year.

A lottery for the community garden beds is held twice a year, each fall, and, if there are any beds available, in the spring.  Garden beds are assigned for 2 years each.  10×10 raised beds are $25 per year, and 5×10 beds (30″ high for easy access) are $15 per year.

The Garden Club meets once a month on the fourth Thursday of each month, January – October, evenings at 6 pm at the Pine River Library.  Meetings are open to all.

  1. I remember when both the Garden Club and Community Gardens were created. You’ve done a wonderful job with this great project! Kudos to everyone!

  2. I’m putting a soaker hose with a timer in the bed that Janice and I share because both of us are going to be out of town for a couple weeks beginning this upcoming week. Any suggestions about how much time set set on the timer would be appreciated! I know some of you use watering timers and soaker hoses, so perhaps you have some thoughts about this. Thanks!
